The Chicago Marathon is this Sunday Oct. 11, and for our interview guest Angela Ortiz and other hopeful runners, hitting an Olympic Trials qualifying time (2:43:00 for women, 2:18:00 for men) is the goal. Angela, who is coached by Mark Hadley and who runs with the North Brooklyn Runners, describes the training that has helped her slice nearly an hour off her debut marathon time to a PR of 2:49. Elsewhere in the episode we compare Eliud Kipchoge to Mo Farah, discuss the latest on Sara and Ryan Hall, and describe our injury/rehab (Gregg) and NYC marathon prep (Brenn).
